Musings of a Man Without A Plan

So what distinguishes us humans from animals ?

After much thought I have come to this conclusion: Humans can lie, animals can't. The ability to lie denotes our powers to perceive alternate realities. When we lie, we do so because we assume there is some benefit to be derived. We have visualized an altered situation which is to our liking because we chose to offer someone an altered version of facts.

It is this creative ability which has distinguished us from rest of the pack and helped us in becoming the monsters that we are today!

Amazing huh? So my friend(s), go ahead and lie, fabricate and make false statements! :)

animals lie all the time.
for example, monkeys well bellow out a predator warning call if he senses a fight with a dominant male coming. this way he avoids a fight by lying about the presence of a greater threat.
